To me, this needs to be clarified on the package. You CAN NOT plug this into your network and have it do VoIP on it's own. It's more of a cute toy then a business device. As others have noted, there is a hiss / buzzing sound on the handset, voice sounds very tinny as well, not what you'd expect for a $200 phone.The biggest disappointment was that this phone is NOT a true "VoIP" phone. it has a USB connection where it simply acts as an intelligent headset for your computer (Skype, Cisco VoIP client, etc). I expected to network it and give it my SIP registration info, nope.Due to these two issues, we may be returning the product.
It works well both as a blue tooth earpiece and as a remote phone. It is a little awkward to get the earpiece on, but once on - it is not obtrusive. Really like this product. The setup was very simple and the quality of the unit is impressive.
Within that period two headsets have gone bad, the battery for the handset has gone bad, and the keypad for the handset has gone bad. I bought two of these phone over the past year and half. I love the ease of using the phone, but the quality of the construction is just frustrating.
It looks very stylish on my desk and have had more than one person comment on it's cool desk presentation.The biggest complaint that I would have with it, is that there is a delay when you turn the headset on. It is bigger than my previous plantronics headset, but lighter. Once connected it works perfectly fine though.I tested the blue tooth headset with my cell phone (LG Shine)and it connects just fine.All in all, it's a good option if you want a hands free unit with a wireless headset. Purchased via Amazon. Came on time and in good shape.I've been using the phone system now for 3-4 weeks and will say that it works as it is supposed to and is a good hands free wireless telephone option. This delay is because the headset is connecting with the keypad unit and causes a 1-3 second delay.
I wish I could have a few more around the house. The remote keypad numbers are a bit small, but that is it. Overall the phone meets expectations. The sound quality is acceptable for a cordless phone. Great to see my wife using it, and not using her neck to cradle the other phones.
